Byblos Stories is a series of 30 filmed interviews with residents of Byblos. The project brings together the voices of men and women who witnessed the first archaeological excavations in the early 20th century, as well as those of their descendants. Through these testimonies, the series preserves personal memories, and traces the lived history of a city that has been continuously inhabited for over 9,000 years. Six of those interviews will be screened at the Arab World Institute in Paris, as part of the exhibition “Byblos, cité millénaire du Liban”, that will run from March 24 to August 23, 2026.
